What prayer does G-d Himself pray?
June 1, 2011
Rabbi Yachanan said in the name of Rabbi Yossi… G-d, the Holy One, Blessed be He, prays… what is G-d’s prayer?:
Rabbi Zutra says in the name of Rav, [this is how G-d prays]: May it be My will that My mercy overcome My anger, and My loving qualities override My strict traits; that I treat My children with the quality of mercy and that I always deal with them beyond the letter of the Law. – Babylonian Talmud, Berakhot 7a

Interesting. Some might say this is what was going on when Yeshua prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”.

It could be – the Divine Essence or the Holy Spirit within Messiah was praying to G-d.
One other thing that jumped at me was this: “that I always deal with them beyond the letter of the Law”. This single Talmudic verse overturns the common Christian myth that the G-d of Judaism is a strict authoritarian that demands total obedience or else, and that Jews are legalists who supposedly rely on perfect, scrupulous observance of Torah for their justification and not on G-d’s abounding mercy and ever gracious willingness to overlook man’s many faults.
Prayer is a mystery for me….For me prayer is just being able to talk to my friend….revealing every detail I cannot really divulge to a human being. As one who understands rejection or loneliness like YESHUA does. Not trying to be high in spirit but much more lowly in attitude and trying not to judge others the way that they pray. There are so many ways and books on prayer out there today……Christians and Messianic s alike in how we should pray. I get confused for sure on how and what the HOLY SPIRIT wants me to pray….I even write alot of prayers because at time prayer is hard to focus on in the trials of life. This is something I am asking and even testing G-d with today of what true prayer is to HIM and what HE WANTS….so this is a discussion that really warrants time…

May it ever be so. Amen.
So sad we have such a lonely G-d. No one even to comment on prayer anymore. I recently had answered prayer and I praise the LORD of ISRAEL for it. I just want HIM to know I can praise HIM for this request that was such a terrible wounding. BUT HE IS ABLE. HE IS A WARRIOR!! We do not think of our LORD as a WARRIOR through prayer
for us; but that is EXACTLY WHAT HE IS. HE FIGHTS FOR US!! Those that love HIM and try to do HIS will the best they know how. Now is the time to pray for HIS PEOPLE ISRAEL and that their WARRIOR ABBA G-D will show HIMSELF STRONG FOR THEM.
